TRIPURA GOVT. ALL SET TO IMPLEMENT NCERT SYLLABUS IN SCHOOLS!

With an aim to successfully implement the NCERT syllabus in the schools from the upcoming academic year, Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath on Saturday held a meeting with the Inspectors of School, DEOs of different districts in Birchandra State Central Library.

The Tripura government has decided to introduce NCERT textbooks and CBSE syllabus from the next academic session beginning April in place of the present curriculum prescribed by the State Council of Educational Research and Training.
“We shall introduce complete NCERT textbooks and CBSE syllabus from the next academic year because the students in our state were lagging behind and couldn’t keep up with the standard of the country. We want them to be as competitive as students of other states,” Nath said.

In line with this, the BJP-led Tripura Government will impart training to some 40,660 school teachers to enable them to switch to the NCERT curriculum.

It was informed that for the first time in 43 years, NCERT curriculum would be introduced in nearly 5,000 Tripura government-run schools from the 2019-20 academic session.
