RAM MADHAV HOLDS MEET WITH NORTHEAST CMS OVER ENSUING LS POLLS!

Following the announcement of dates of ensuing Lok Sabha and State Assembly polls, Ram Madhav, BJP’s national general secretary in charge of Northeast, had a meeting with several chief ministers of the Northeast in Guwahati on Tuesday.

Ram Madhav had discussions on the ensuing Lok Sabha and Assembly elections.

According to information, Bharatiya Janata Party’s think-tank Ram Madhav held discussions with Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal, Arunachal chief minister Pema Khandu, Manipur CM N Biren Singh and Meghalaya chief minister Conrad K. Sangma.
 
The meeting of Ram Madhav with the chief ministers was also attended by Himanta Biswa Sarma, who is Assam finance minister and convenor of the North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA), the Northeast version of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA0 at the Centre and Assam BJP president Ranjeet Kumar Dass.

Ram Madhav on his Twitter handle stated: “Holding discussion with CMs of Assam, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya, Sh Sonowal, Sh Biren, Sh Pema Khandu n Sh Conrad Sangma and other leaders Sh Himanta n Sh Ranjit Das over the forthcoming Lok Sabha n Assembly elections n NDA coordination in North East.”

It may be mentioned that despite being a part of NEDA in Northeast and NDA at the Centre, the NPP along with its four other partners of MDA in Meghalaya decided to field common candidates in Shillong and Tura Lok Sabha seats while the BJP has decided to go alone in Meghalaya. The party has laos decided to go alone in Mizoram.
